A Valuation Day was held in the museum Community Room between 10 and 1 on Tuesday.

A steady stream of visitors armed with their interesting items and heirlooms waited patiently for Craig Bewick, of Golding, Young and Mawer, auctioneers based in Lincolnshire. Craig then proceeded to give them the good or not so good news on the details of their possessions. The many and varied antiques and some much younger items valued included a strawberry ware set complete with cream bowl and sugar jug, a 400-500 year old tapestry, some interesting photo albums and a collection of Jasper ware.

Patricia did a splendid job of organising the event and eliciting money out of our visitors for this fundraising event. Raffle tickets for our 30th anniversary draw also sold well.

Gladys and Roger kept the teas and coffees flowing soaked up with plenty of biscuits.

Our special thanks go to Craig for giving up his time and freely offering his expert knowledge and valuations to our guests. Below is a gallery of pictures taken at the event.
