Our Friends Group brings closer links with the community that we serve and are proud to be a part of.
Members of the Group can, if they so wish, become involved in Museum life in a number of ways: fund raising, the development of exhibits, representing the museum at outside events, helping Directors catalogue photographs and artefacts, greeting members of the public or developing educational opportunities. There will also be social and cultural events including visits to other museums and enjoyable activities, centred in the museum, to be arranged. None of this is compulsory, members do not have to give more of their time than they wish.
Members of the Group will be asked for a small annual donation, and will receive in return, free entry to the museum (on production of a valid membership card) and newsletters published by the Group.
